Dear Parents & Carers
The Home to School Transport consultation is now open and we are encouraging families, schools and partners to share their views.
The consultation seeks feedback on proposed changes to Home to School Transport policies, including post-16 transport, transport for children below compulsory school age and Alternative Provision transport.
We are keen to hear from those who may be affected by the proposals.
As part of the consultation, we will engage directly with schools and education providers across the district. This includes special schools, mainstream schools, alternative provision settings and governing bodies.
The consultation is open until 21 October 2026. We would be grateful if schools could help raise awareness by sharing the consultation with parents and carers through their usual communication channels.
