Thank you to all parents and carers for their feedback on our google survey form. Of those who responded to the question, 93.6% feel that our remote learning provision is good or better. We are exceptionally proud of this. In addition, we have strived to make contact with all parents where a comment has been raised or a query.

In response to the survey we have summarised the points raised; you can read what was raised and how we have responded here: https://tinyurl.com/y6fj4zpd
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us on enquiries@freeston.outwood.com

Emails have also been coming in from parents and carers regarding our remote learning provision and the positive support they feel our young people are receiving. Thank you for your ongoing support, all staff thoroughly enjoy reading these.

Updates regarding our remote learning will continue to be added weekly to the website: https://www.freeston.outwood.com/convid-19

Our Praising Stars reports will continue. There is a letter on our website regarding this. It is important to note the key information in here:
* Grades will not be calculated until the summer term and therefore schools will need to ensure that they have the very best evidence available to them when these decisions are made. We fully expect that this will include work students have completed during the lockdown period and it is therefore important that your child continues to engage with and completes their online learning.
* Praising Stars reports will be issued as normal this half term for students in Years 10, 11, 12 and 13, and these will include predicted grades. I must emphasise that these grades are not centre assessed grades, they are predictions: the grades that your child is on track to achieve provided they continue to work as they currently are. Grades may go up and down dependent on the quality of work your child produces and their engagement with online learning.
* Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 will receive a Praising Stars report which contains an effort only grade for their subjects; this grade will reflect their effort and engagement with online learning

As always, thank you for your support, thank you for contacting us when you need support and please continue to stay safe.
